West Indies aim to take home advantage

The 2010 edition of ICC Twenty20 World starts from 30 April in West Indies. West Indies believes that home advantage will give them edge in the upcoming World T20 Championship. West Indies didn’t win a multi-nation tournament since their victory in Champions Trophy 2004 that was held in England. This is a golden chance for the team who want to make the best of the Caribbean conditions.

“What is important is that we play as a team and try and support each other as much as we can, whether it’s in the field or when we are batting or bowling. That is something we hope to do and we hope we can do it on a consistent basis.” Says Sarwan who was a member of the 2004 Champions Trophy winning team.

The team with match winners like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, has the power to defeat any side on their day. They know that the next week in the Caribbean will be a perfect oppurtunity to lay the ghosts of  2007 World Cup.
